CBD IS NOT A PAIN PILL
Updated: Nov 23, 2019
You are procrastinating (because you don't like the smell of patchouli, don't want to talk to a teenager at a head shop, don't want to be pitched an MLM, lol again) , it will be here. It is not going to happen overnight for you anyway, so take your time.
I have many conversations with friends, family, and folks that walk through our doors that begin with; "I want to get off all my medications", "I really need to come see you because last night I got no sleep", " I was told I can stop taking my meds", "I want to make the switch right now to holistic", "how fast will it work?"...
Slow down...Slow way, way down.
I've had RA for 28 years, and have been experimenting with cannabis for over 15 and I still don't know exactly what works for me. Unless you know what works (and I think this is the beauty of CBD, and I'll write about this in a later post), you really need to slow down.
I've known two people, out of the hundreds I have spoken with, who have gotten immediate relief from CBD. One was my cousin who suffers from seizures and one was a friend suffering from migraines. Both of them it had an immediate, great reaction, and both of them worked very close with their traditional Doctors and had a plan in place before starting. It really bugs me when I see the claims of getting off all your meds, because I have seen it before with so many other products; moringa, DMSO, glucosamine and chondroitin all come top of mind really quick. But I have literally tried them all, plus a 1000 more. This is nothing like those, this is not a fad, I've seen it work so many times, and when you couple it with traditional medicine, a healthy lifestyle and habits, it's amazing.
Work with your doctor, not against them; (from my micro dose post), " "We deal with some pretty heavy shit physically in our lives, so traditional medicine has been there for us, and we have the utmost respect. Speaking personally, traditional medicine saved my life. I've had a lot of Rheumatologists because my Mom is a Marine brat, so that makes me a Marine brat and I can't live anywhere longer than two years. I can honestly say every single Rhumy throughout my life has helped me (this is conversation for another blog). Point being we work with Doctors and a lot of pain management clinics, so most folks have the dosing figured before we talk.
That's a great thing.I do think micro-dosing smaller MG's get left out of a lot of online "experts' conversations because Google says higher MG's will help with pain more effectively. I also believe it is a great way to begin if you have never tried CBD, or need to switch up the routine and give the Endo Sys a shake up (that is all in my mind, it's how I believe my body reacts, so I roll with it). But, it takes time, sometimes months, and just works different for everyone. I tell folks, one day you will just wake up and you'll know. I know my body, and it requires change, mixing it up if you will. I do it with my traditional Doctor, I do it with this (read my post about micro-dosing).
So it may take some work, will take time, just be patient. Shit, they'll be giving CBD away in 18 months, so you might just want to wait anyways (lol). I see this a lot also, please, do not get anxiety when thinking supplementing with Hemp Extract. If you can't afford it this month, if you have been online for 3 hours and don't know who to trust, if your Doctor told you it would be a good alternative and you are procrastinating (because you don't like the smell of patchouli, don't want to talk to a teenager at a head shop, don't want to be pitched an MLM, lol again) , it will be here. It is not going to happen overnight for you anyway, so take your time. Relax, , literally, studies are coming out everyday on the endocannabanoid system. Yes, the sooner you start taking it, the sooner you will know what works. But, it is not a pain pill.
